2016 JUMP MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS, UK! Featuring Shoggy Tosh, Guvna B, Faith and others

The JUMP Music Video Awards is back with a splash onto the music industry calendar for Saturday 1st October at the luxury Hilton Tower Bridge, London, United Kingdom with nominations for Rapper – Shoggy Tosh, Singer – Fiona Yorke, Rapper – GuvnaB, Faith Child, Annastasia Baker amongst many others. Shoggy Tosh gets his first ever JUMP music video nomination for his blockbuster music video – Pamoto [featuring Henrisoul] and directed by Femi Best Touch in the BEST UK AFRO BEAT MUSIC VIDEO category alongside Phemmoh’s Are You Ready, Derrick Maphosa’s Sovereign God, Sam Adebanjo’s “I’m Available” and Andrew Bello’s #SayYes.

The inaugural event, staged in 2014, was the first time that the collaborative efforts of artists and music video makers operating in the Christian and Gospel scene was recognised and rewarded.  Since then the 16 winning videos have notched up 30 million viewing figures between them on YouTube alone.

Director Juliet Fletcher explains, “When we staged the first event we only had an idea that indicated a trend. Many of the artists were unknown – even to Gospel-loving audiences. The feedback we received from both the judges responsible for selecting finalists and the audience who attended the evening can be suitably described as a ‘pleasant shock and surprise’. We’ve got every good reason to support the continual growth of this segment of the independent music sector. We believe there are more good shocks and surprises to come.”

South Africa’s “Covenant Voices” becomes an International Multi Award Winning Group

Covenant Voices have now become an International multi award winning group after they won their second gong within 16 weeks of releasing their debut single and music video – CHILDREN MEDLEY. They won the Akademia Music Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Video for ‘Children’ in the November 2015 Akademia Music Awards, adding to their previous success 3 months ago when they won, ‘Best Gospel Song’ at the August 2015 edition of Akademia awards in Los Angeles, United States of America.

An 80 band South African mass gospel choir with a handful of Africans, Covenant Voices are mentored by Rev. Tim Omotoso, the senior Pastor of Jesus Dominion International (J.D.I.) and founder of Tim Omotoso Global Outreach (T.O.G.O.). They are based in Durban, South Africa, and their music has Traditional Zulu, Jazz, R&B and Contemporary influences. Their ages range between 16 and 39.

Covenant Voices dropped their debut single in July, 2015 and their debut music video a month afterwards. This blockbuster video was produced by Ray Magagula at 3 separate locations in South Africa – The Phezulu Safari Park Hillcrest; uMhlanga Lighthouse, and uMhlanga Pier in Durban. The song (available for download on all good online stores) which is in a mixture of Zulu (South African language) and English illustrates how Children are singing, how Parents are praising and worshiping God till they come to joyful tears, making everyone happy. The song explains to all that Jesus died for our sins, and took us out of darkness. It also praises Jesus as the King of Heavens, and encourages every nation to arise and be ready because Jesus is coming back soon.

The choir was founded and named in 2007 by Rev. Tim Omotoso, after he hosted gospel music auditions, a first for the organization in Durban. This became the first initiative of the Youth Empowerment Project (Y.E.P.) of Tim Omotoso Global Outreach. It has to be said that the singers had no previous training or experience when the choir was formed, just raw talent polished with ‘the Triple T’ of Rev. Tim Omotoso.

New Single Release: #PAMOTO !!! By: “Shoggy Tosh featuring Henrisoul”

Pamoto (Shoggy Tosh’s Latest Single) featuring one Nigeria’s Top Gospel Stars – HENRISOUL was produced by PASTORCHILD and is his second single from his EP, ’emujow’. The song was written and composed by Shoggy Tosh & Henrisoul, and produced by Pastorchild. Pamoto was mixed in London by Pastorchild, and mastered in the USA by Izzy.

Pamoto means an addictive dance dedicated to the Creator of mankind. It is performed by bending your knees slightly, and raising your hands upright, in a driving motion. Life on this terrestrial ball was not meant to be smooth, and from time to time we are engulfed in problems and challenges. However, by dancing and praising God Almighty, these problems are surmounted.

The song is officially released TODAY 10th OCTOBER, 2015, whilst the music video directed by Femi Best Touch is to be released on 6 December, 2015. Shoggy Tosh’s initiative, the ’emujow EP’ is a charitable project dedicated to raising funds for less privileged people all around the world. Shoggy Tosh was only recently nominated at the 2015 PGMA London awards in the Gospel artist of the year category.
